Leigh + Brandon Engagement
There are times as a photographer where everything just falls into place. Perfect lighting, perfect couple perfect outfits, perfect location.
Well Leigh and Brandon's engagement session was one of those nights.
We were originally going to have our session on Saturday, but Leigh and Brandon were so gracious as to move their session to Sunday so I could go out of town on a mini-family trip. (I am so thankful to them)
Another thought worth mentioning, Leigh and Brandon have a b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l baby girl named Kinsley, and they asked if it would be alright to include her in a couple of their photos. And my answer was (and always is) 150% yes! Kiddos are such a huge part of your life as a couple and it does justice to your way of life by capturing them in your session. They did a great job 1) picking out her adorable outfit, and 2) having Kinsley's grandma to come along to assist ;)
We started with the Kinsley photos, as I usually do if there are kiddos. And then she got to play with grandma on the playground.
One thing that was really fun about Leigh and Brandon's session was the fact that we really explored it and got some actually found some spots I hadn't shot at before. I was super in love with the spot in front of the rock wall with the sand. Such a unique and pretty setting.
If you have never been to Klondike Park before, (oh yeah, our session was at Klondike Park, MO), it is a really neat micro-environment near Defiance MO with rolling hills, an old quarry turned lake, and a bluff overlooking the Missouri River. It is a truly lovely setting.
We had such a great time, and it is worth noting that Leigh and Brandon did an absolutely amazing job. They were so easy to work with, direct, and were so natural and fun in front of the camera. Again, a photographer's dream.
Here's to Leigh and Brandon, and their winter wedding I can not wait for!!
PS, bonus photo of my girls on their Aunt's horse in Oklahoma City from the weekend :)
